Opened on Christmas Eve, 1920 by Mrs. Adam Scott, who unlocked the door.
Memorial Description
Village Hall with pointed roof and entrance through square porch at one end. The name is incised in the stone lintel above the porch door.

Stone, brought from a local quarry.

Public subscription.
Present condition
Following years of neglect, the hall was sold for conversion into a house in 2002

Notes
1. As funds would not allow for paid hire, local volunteers were asked to help fetch stone from the quarry. They brought 60 loads, and had picnics in the quarry and on the site of the hall.

Morpeth Herald 25/06/1920 carries report of volunteers bringing stone.
Alnwick and County Gazette 19/06/1920 carries the story of the voluntary carrying of stone; 08/01/1921 reports grant of site at nominal rent.
