Memorial Description

Cross with tapering shaft set on a stepped tapering pedestal, total height approx. 7 feet. The dedication and names for 1914-18 are on the front of the pedestal, with the added dedication for 1939-45 and one name below. The three other names from 1939-45 are spaced out along the riser of the step. All lettering is of lead attached to the monument in sans serif capitals throughout.
The whole is set in a gravelled enclosure surrounded by iron railings.

Unpolished Cornish granite.

1. At the unveiling, it was hoped to erect railings, funds permitting.

2. From that part of the dale, 28 men had served, of whom 4 had died.
