Plaque of white marble on black marble pattress in very plain classical style. It has a shallow pointed top. The lettering is in Roman capitals throughout.

Inscription

Sacred to the memory
of
Robert Romer, Esquire, and of Frances, his wife;
He was born 13th of September 1749, died 7th of November 1834.
She departed this life 4th of May 1789, aged 27 years.

This marble is also dedicated in remembrance of their
second son William Romer, Esquire,
late Captain of the Royal Artillery;
who borne down by the unparalleled sufferings
of the preceding Campaign, expired
as the British Troops were embarking at Corunna
January 1809
