Tree planted and plaque unveiled July 1986. Erected by Newcastle City Council, County Association of Trades Councils, July 1986 and March 1989.
Memorial Description
Tree.
At its foot is a plaque mounted on a concrete base giving the details. The lettering is in sans serif capitals.

This tree was planted by
Mr. Frank Graham
to commemorate the 50th Anniversary
of the Spanish Civil War
in the presence of the Lord Mayor
Councillor J.P. Laing
July 1986.

1. Mr. Graham was a publisher and historian until his retirement. He took part in the Spanish Civil War.
